Silo monitors the performance and reliability of storage nodes through various audits and uptime checks. If a node fails these checks repeatedly, it may be suspended as a warning to the operator to address the issues. Here’s what suspension typically means:
Reason for Suspension:
Failed audits: This happens if the node fails to provide the requested data to the network, which might be due to data loss or corruption.
Low uptime: If the node is frequently offline or unavailable, it will negatively affect its uptime score.
Misconfiguration: Issues like insufficient bandwidth, storage, or misconfigured settings can also lead to suspension.
Effect of Suspension:
The node will not receive any new data uploads or repair traffic.
Existing data will remain on the node, and the operator has an opportunity to fix the issues.
The node is in a “probationary” state, where it is essentially paused while you work on resolving the problems.
Recovery from Suspension:
The node operator must identify and fix the underlying issues (e.g., restore data, ensure proper uptime, correct misconfigurations).
Once fixed, the node can return to normal operation after passing further audits and quality checks over time.
Difference from Disqualification:
Suspension is a temporary state and a warning. You can recover from it by addressing the issues.
Disqualification, on the other hand, is permanent and occurs if the node consistently fails audits or if data loss is detected. A disqualified node cannot rejoin the network.
Regularly monitoring your node’s logs, ensuring reliable hardware, and maintaining a stable internet connection can help prevent suspension.
Mine shows the same, and I did have all of 0.04 earning
